Setup will be on the 22nd in the evening, Judging will be on the 23rd and then the show will run on the 24th from 10am-6pm and the 25th from 11am-5pm. The categories for judging at this show will be: Abstract, Black & White, Macro, Transportation, Vintage, and Wildlife. As always there will also be awards for Best of Show and Best Display. We will also have food, pot luck style, you will need to bring your own beverages.
The other upcoming show will be the Library Summer Reading program show. The theme this year is “Reading Rocks”. So the library is looking for Reading, Rock and Roll, Music style pictures. The setup for this show is Saturday, June 16th from 10am-12pm. The show will run from June 17th-July 13th. We decided not to do an Artist Reception this year as there was not many people from outside the club that attended last years.
Scavenger Hunt categories for the 2nd quarter, Jan-Mar, are due at the April meeting and to make things a little easier the membership decided to use the categories we have for the Alley Park Show & Library theme for this quarter. So the Scavenger Hunt categories are: Abstract, Macro, Rock & Roll/Music, Transportation, Vintage, Wildlife & Open: Anytime.
Reminder that due need to be paid by the February meeting. If you can not make the meeting please message me either via email or Facebook Messenger or text me directly and I will give you my address and you can mail a check to me. Aileen will be out for a short time due to an upcoming surgery and I will handle the collection of due until her healthy return. The dues are $24.00 for individual membership and $36.00 for a family membership.
Mike Tharp with Parks and Recreation asked me to pass on that they would like some pictures of people ice skating at Rising Park, or warming themselves by the fires, or any other winter activities we see. If you get any of these shots please email them to me or bring them on a flash drive to the next meeting and I can get them to Mike.
Thanks for all of the hard work everyone is doing to help promote the club.
